"(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) " - 2Cor 5:7
All of the scientific method empirical evidence pointing to a level immovable earth is well documented and is simple enough to understand as it is walking by sight.
When it comes to stuff like a domed firmament, foundations and pillars we walk by faith for even though many ancient texts outside the Bible concur with this design, we still are taking someone else's word for it, howbeit those writers were inspired of God when they did write it,but that is the faith part. We believe it because the Bible says so.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: "- 2Tim 3:16
Some may still be waffling a bit but for the most part we all believe that we are on a FE that is immovable and under a domed firmament as there are a bunch of Bible references to support it.
Now we need to take another step of faith in the Bible; In Genesis 1 we are told that the firmament separated the waters above from the waters below. Now some pastors have tried to explain this away by saying something along the lines that the waters above were in fact ice and that ice melted and gave us the flood.Globe earth apologist "pastors" can be creative in their imagination. OK, so if that were the case then there would no longer be any water above after the flood, right ?
And then there is that pesky David in Psalms 148: 4 "Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens." This was written quite some time after the flood occurred, and says to me that the waters above are still there.
One thing no one seems to be willing to address is the waters above and the waters below. We are on a FE built upon foundations supported by pillars, and then there is all this water. Unless mixed with a Jello powder water is not a solid, it requires a container of some sort. Water left on it's own separates and dissipates it doesn 't stay uniform. So what is holding it all together ? Those who have had the heart to go through my whole web page (GBY) know what I think about that, but the outlying question that must be asked is "Is the devil a creator, or a counterfeit, liar and mimic?"
