Lesson (vol.44)

Ameridolatry

Ameridolatry. What an interesting word ! A combination of idolatry and America. Idolizing America and what America does and is can be described in no better term than ameridolatry. The Bible tells us that, " What say I then ? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?" (1Cor 10:19) Anything, whatever you put your faith in and worship, is an "idol". And what do people offer in sacrifice to this idol, America ? They offer their children for America's wars. They offer support for America's economy. They offer their pledge of allegiance. These are all "sacrifices" that people make to their god, America. Do they get anything in return ? Not really. They are given the "promise" of this that or the other, but how many of those "promises" ever pan out ? Over three trillion dollars have been taken up in America's debts by other nations on the "promise" that they would be repaid, but how can America repay ? it is broke !

But how did all this happen ? First of all the world, starting with citizens of the US itself, have been sold a fictitious nation, a nation that exists only in the imagination of peoples' minds, a nation put there by the spin doctors of Hollywood and the other prolific propaganda outlets promoting the "image" that America is something to be emulated, copied or somehow idolized. As the world has seen of late, it is NOT the land of the "free", it is NOT the "home of the brave", and it sure hasn't got any "equally and justice for all" as has been touted by the pundits in Hollywood and the propagandists. The unflatering truth is that America is a right-wing, neo-fascist, money-motivated society that has infested the world with it's ideology and fictitious moral standing.

Perhaps there was a time, in it's early beginnings, that America was all the things that are claimed in the pervasive theories that continue to be propagated, but that time has long past and there is no longer such a place except in the minds of those who have been controlled with it's "promises". Promises that cannot and will not be delivered, because they never were, they have always been a figment of imagination, an imagined nation. Just saying that something is so doesn't make it so, there must be some sort of tangible evidence to back up the claim, and in America's case the only "evidence" is fictitious, only on paper and not to be found in reality.

Why do the peoples of the world idolize America? Because of it's "values" ? No, it doesn't have any, other than greed and the personal accumulation of material goods. Other country's peoples have been sold the same fictitious bill of goods and see America as the land of plenty and because of their apostate mindset, having left off faith and spiritual values, lust in their hearts after material wealth and see America as the place to emulate.

This, not realizing that the way America got the way it is is by "promises" to these other nations that America's word was worth something, and so these nations have bought into America's fictitous nation and have morgaged their own country's well-being in order to support the imaginary nation as a source of hope, when in fact were it not for these other nations buying up all that debt America would have fallen flat on it's face a long time ago. The wealth and opulence enjoyed by Americans has been at the expense of other peoples' well-being. Other nations have "sacrificed" to ther idol America in hope of someday partaking in the same levels of wealth and opulence not realizing that they have been sold a bill of goods that is bankrupt, and now pride won't allow them to face that fact.

This emulation and idolatry is found in the Bible under works of the flesh," Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, "Idolatry", witchcraft, hatred, variance, "emulations", wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (Gal 5:19-21) Those who have left off love and faith and spiritual values seek to emulate and idolize the things of this world, of which America is an embodiment.

The great consolation here is that those who practice these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God, which means that we will be rid of them once their term here on earth is done. The apostle Paul has yet more advise to give on the subject," Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:" (Col 3:5) and again " Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry." (1Cor 10:14)

And for the longest time the so-called evangelicals in America have been appologising and promoting this fiction to others as well as to their own citizenry, just as in the times of "the Spanish Inquisition", "The Crusades", the period of the popes and the second world war when the so-called religious system always blessed the deeds of the empire, even when that empire was violating every precept and concept ever laid out by Christ and His followers. Organised religion was once described by Karl Marx, a Communist, as "the opiate of the people" because it was used to keep people docile in the face of tyranny.

These so-called christian appologists have been doing exactly the same thing in America. Misreading, and misinterpreting what Jesus taught in order to twist Scripture into supporting a false agenda. " As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." (2Peter 3:16) Some of the greatest idolaters in history were found in organised religion. This is not to say that all organised religion is bad and corrupt as many people involved in churches ect... are very sincere Christians trying to do their best, but it does go to say that a lot of it is.

God doesn't look at what group you belong to, what denomination you adhere to, what political agenda you support. God looks at your heart. Who's agenda you promote IS important in that for Christians there is only one agenda, Christ's agenda, and that agenda is NOT political. "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." (Jn 18:36)

Christ's kingdom is spiritual, not Earthly, and this is where the vast majority of so-called christians get it all wrong. Christ's kingdom on Earth does not come through political means, and He has laid out the specific timetable and chronology of events that must take place before such a realisation can happen. It is He that will set it up personally AFTER His return, but for now and until that moment arrives He has told us that, " God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.." (Jn 4:24) and also, " ... behold, the kingdom of God is within you." (Lk 17:21)

We are to worship God in our hearts, our spirit, and to pray for those who are in pain and suffering due to man's inhumanity to man through his wars and hatred for one another and " Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."(1Jn 5:21)

May God bless you with His Love, Peace and Truth.
